I found this during a Windows Defender full service scan. How can I completely remove it?

I would think that Windows Defender should full remove this trojan, if it detected it. As a precautionary measure download Spyware Doctor Starter Edition which is totally free and the best spyware/malware remover on the market free or paid. It can be found on download.com.

Also I would recommend doing an online malware/scan and removal from the Trend Micro Housecall website. It is totally free, safe, and very effective.

My sister had that virus and could not get rid of it and it cost her nearly $70 to talk to someone about it. In an attempt to save you all money I'm sharing the information-

1) go to virussolutions.org

2) on the left click ''hijack this''

3) select ''open''

4) run the application

5) find the ''open misc. tools'' button

6) under ''system tools'' select ''delete a file on reboot''

7) find your infected file (ex: C:\WINDOWS\system32\yourfile.dll)

8) computer will restart, virus should be gone

I hope you understand that while you may have stopped the trojan from being downloaded, you certainly have not removed it at all. It is still waiting out there for you. After using hijackthis! you need to follow up to actually remove the infestation from your hard drive.

Second of all, get AVG free edition, or type free virus scan in a search engine, and get a free online scan from a site. (MCAFEE offers one, I believe), in case you don't want to buy a new antivirus software.

And if you only have Troiens even a scan from the Anti-Spyware from Yahoo toolbar should do! Just go to toolbar.yahoo.com, download, install and scan.
