Help with a virus/trojan??

recently when i third click on my hard drives (c,d,e) instead of open and explore there are strange symbols and hard disks dont open!

i have

kaspersky v.6.0

zone alarm v7.0

windows defender

but the problem persists

pls suggest

1) how to remove it? (pls dont say random anti virus, i need which works!)

2)if i format drive will it be solved?

3)in new windows u recommend which of these 3 anti virus!

1. it would be helpful if we knew which OS your running.

2.Kasperspy is a very good AV %26 does not miss much.

3. Zone Alarm is a Very good firewall.

4. Windows Defender Is just a waste of space on your hard drive, get rid of it and get a good Anti-spyware program.

5. If you format your hard drive you will lose all that is on it %26 your never know what the problem was should it re-turn.

6.you should run more than one Anti-spyware program but only one AV.

7. what PC Optimizer are you running, if you dont have one get one.

8. this is what i would do - make sure windows %26 your AV is updated then run your AV, then run your new Anti-spyware programs, then run error checking, then run your Optimizer.
