It would have been helpful if you mentioned the name of the trojan! I could help you better then. Anyways, here are some general guidelines:

First use the antivirus and antispyware software you have to run a full system scan. Do it in the windows safe mode. (AVG and Avast antivirus softwares are free while a 6 month free trial for Norton is available at pack.google.com. Lavasoft's free Ad-Aware is the best antispyware to my knowledge. Also Windows Defender from Microsoft is good enough for real-time protection). This should solve the problem. However, if the antivirus software is unable to delete the malware, go to Norton's website and search for the name of the malware detected. Their must be some instructions posted to tackle the problem. You might have to delete the system restore points and as well delete the particular registry entries manually if the virus still regenerates on subsequent boot up of the machine. Good Luck.

PS. If you are still having trouble, use Hijack This and copy the log it generates and post it on some tech help forum. I am sure there will be plenty of people ready to help you out.
avast anti virus helps you i think recently it removed trojan virus completely from my computer. go to google search and type avast and search.
why bother going to all the expense of buying anti virus software when you have already bought the operating system, just wipe the hard drive and reinstall the operating system but make sure you have all the drivers you will need before doing so.
AVG is a nice free software that will not help you clean your system. It's time to break down and buy a software package. My suggestion would be McAfee.

I had a really nasty virus on my pc when i used AVG...nothing would get rid of it. So i finally downloaded the trial version of PC-Cillin Internet Security and it immediately got rid of it. I've been using it ever since and i've never had a single virus since then.
