I have the virus Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent variant. what do i do?

i really dont believe i can just reboot my comp. i have way too much on it. is there anyway at all to get rid of this. i have already bought a virus scanner spybot whatever yesterday to try and fix it and that was a waste of a lot of money because i still have the virus. the software i bought was XoftSpySE. it got rid of a lot of things i didnt even know were on my computer and werent that severe, but its not finding the sorce of this one. anyone know what i can do to get rid of it?

ALSO... The fact that you have a trojan downloader doesn't *really* explain all the stuff that Xoftspy ''found.'' Xoftspy is scareware and would have found most of the same stuff on a virgin machine. In terms of removing things that actually *are* harmful, Xoftspy is a mediocre antispy at best.

the nature of trojan.download is that exactly...it ''downloads'' other trojans onto your machine...which explains all the new stuff you found with XoftSpy.
