I have a backdoor trojan virus called blink.dll. McAfee cannot do anything. Anyone know how to get r

1. Run MSCONFIG from the Start, Run command.

2. Click Startup.

3. Look for Blink in the list.

4. Uncheck it, click Apply.

5. Click OK, then Restart.

6. Do a complete deep scan of the machine including archive files and all memory and registry entries.

If this does not do the trick then do a free online scan with bitdefender:

The trouble with blink.dll. is it a virus or spyware, i believe bitdefender will pick it up as a virus, if it does not then download superantispyware:

What old_mole said but it was in ''Services'' not ''Startup'' on my PC. I unchecked the properties of the Blink Program Files folder so it would not be read-only. McAffee was then able to delete it.

Try ANY of these 2 anti virus (they are free btw):

Avast - http://www.avast.com/

Avira - http://www.free-av.com/
try Kaspersky internet security , It is the best trojan killer
there is no way to delete a trojan entirely. back up all your file and reload windows, i reload about every month haha
