A file was mistakenly installed from the internet only to realize that it continuously multiply itself in several files on the system. It does not uninstall and displays an icon (like a warning) in the system tray beside the clock. How do i get rid of it please

Most likely the answers by these other guys will not help you. Your best bet is to use Google and find a forum that will help you fix the problem. My suggestion would be to do this, and ask them, because it doesn't look as if you got too much help here.

hi first off all try to restore your system to an earlier time because windows automatically makes a restore point before any program is being instaled if it didnt work you must know what is that trojan...if it was a sub seven trojan it cant be removed unless you use a special programs.if not a sub seven trojan its easy to remove them from you regestry editor..try to restore and i will send you the way if it didnt work.
Run either spyware sweeper or spyware doctor they should quarantine it for you then you can delete it.
You could try some of the recommendations listed here, but I remove virii for people all the time. It isn't easy. The following are different levels of removal depending on how stubborn the virus is. Try each level one at a time until you reach success.
