What is Helen of troy? Is she greek? Or trojan? I've heard both. Who was Paris her lover? Greek

First of all let me tell you that the Trojan war is a Greek myth which describes a civil war! It is not a war between Greece and Troy but a war between Achaeans(a Greek tribe) and Trojans( an other Greek tribe).In the myth the Trojans are descried as Greeks! So the answer is that they were both Greeks! (In ancient Greece there were a lot of different Greek states. Athens, Sparta, Argos, Mycenae,Troy etc.). Helen was the Quinn of Sparta and she was kidnapped from the prince of Troy who was Paris.

Please notice that i am referring to the Greek myth!In real life we don't know if Troy actually existed and we don't know if it was Greek or Asiatic or even Asian Greek!

The ruins of a city that were found in the cost of Asia minor is not proved to be Troy(mainly because the so called Troy is not bigger than a small village!).

There for we can only say for certain that there was a Greek myth which describes a Greek civil war which either happen or it was only a myth!

Helen was from Sparta, Paris was from Troy. In old times wasn't nationality Greek, in old time was tribes. You see big differences in cultures between Athens and Sparta. Location of Troy is mystery, Some scientist say is Bosnia, some in Asia. Who nationality is from Troy in this times scientist don't know jet.
